About the minimum and reasonable consumption of food
In general, we are talking about the minimum and reasonable consumption of food.
The good thing about food and supplements is that its very easy to control it, when you usually just want to control yourself. In this article, we will take a closer look at food from various important points of view. In short, this is about the energy of food, the state of industrial processing, the content of enzymes, vitamins, trace elements, fatty acids, etc. In general, we are talking about the minimum or reasonable consumption of food, minimally processed both thermally and chemically. After all, just about anything human the food industry touches is usually much more harmful than what Mother Nature has provided.
As an example, to help you understand the huge difference which occurs in industrial food processing, I will take the common tomato, an extremely healthy and tasty food that, in its original unprocessed state, is an excellent source of alkalis, lycopene, carotenes, folic acid, enzymes and vitamins. This product dissolves and neutralizes accumulated waste acids in the body, improves kidney function, urinary excretion, reduces gout and rheumatism, treats hemorrhoids and varicose veins, regulates the production of gastric juice, strengthens digestion and gallbladder, improves intestinal motility and reduces inflammation of the pancreas. This list is far from complete, but it is still clear that this is a cure. On the other hand, ketchup, unlike the tomato, is poisonous as it has an extremely strong acid-forming effect on the body and naturally aggravates most of the diseases that raw tomatoes cure.
Another aspect is the simplicity of food consumed, that is, if it is possible not to combine proteins and carbohydrates, these combinations are normal in our diet, but, unfortunately, are almost not digested. They seriously disrupt the function of the large intestine, the centre of our immunity and then we get sick more easily. Our ancestors ate very simple food and their mortality from diseases of civilization was minimal, most of the deaths were caused by poor hygiene habits and therefore by bacteria and viruses, which are not very dangerous these days.
What about Food Supplements?
I summarize my view on the consumption of food supplements. Nutritional(Food) supplements can help us get all the nutrients we need if our diet isn’t varied enough. We must first try to meet all our needs through nutrition and only then move on to supplements. Before switching to dietary supplements, try to improve your diet. Nutrients are most effective when they come from food because they come with many other beneficial nutrients such as carotenoids, flavonoids, minerals, and antioxidants which are not found in most supplements.
But for a healthy diet, especially for people who want to lose weight, eating simple, unprocessed foods is almost always more effective. And if there are additives in your daily products, then look at what they are and why they are in your food. Perhaps you will even be delighted with their presence. And perhaps after reading the composition in its entirety, you will understand that buying individual natural ingredients will be both tastier, cheaper and healthier.
It makes no sense to be afraid of additives because if an additive is already indicated then it is almost certainly allowed and present in an acceptable amount (however, experience shows that occasionally anything happens). However, a large amount of additives very often masks processed foods made from cheap, low-value ingredients. Dietary supplements are a convenient way to ensure that you are getting all the nutrients you need on a regular basis. Today’s supplements include vitamins and minerals, amino acids, herbs and even enzymes.
Consider magnesium-almonds, calcium-freshly ground poppies, selenium-para-nuts, zinc-pumpkin seeds, similar vitamins such as vitamin A found in carrots and vitamin C found in sweet peppers corresponding to vitamin D and vitamin E in corn sprouts. In addition to the fact that in this natural form, vitamins and minerals do not allow for overdose which, of course, cannot be said about tablets. Their action is favorably regulated or enhanced by the enzymes present, which, of course, are not found in tablets. Against the background of tablets, the difference in price and taste is also interesting.
Human nutrition can positively or negatively affect the development of physical and psychological abilities, this is especially noticeable in childhood and adolescence. Healthy nutrition is an absolutely necessary factor for ensuring normal blood formation, vision, development, maintaining a normal state of skin and determining a degree of protective function in the body.
